When was the Istanbul earthquake?

Earthquake Expert Yoshinori Moriwaki, who was a guest on the YouTube channel, evaluated the 5.1 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Gemlik Bay and was felt in Marmara. Stating that the entire Marmara region is in great danger, Moriwaki also shared his comment on the expected major Istanbul earthquake.

"MARMARA IS COMPLETELY DANGEROUS" The 5.1 magnitude earthquake that occurred 2 days ago, with the epicenter in the Marmara Sea Gemlik Bay, created great panic. The earthquake was felt in many cities, especially Bursa and Istanbul. Earthquake Expert Yoshinori Moriwaki, who was a guest at Haberler.com studio, stated that the 5.1 magnitude earthquake in Gemlik Bay was clearly felt in Istanbul because it was close to the ground.

Moriwaki said, "The North Anatolian Fault Line in Marmara came like a domino stone with the Erzincan earthquake in 1939 and the Tokat earthquake in 1941, and the 99 earthquake occurred. There was a rupture on the Çanakkale side in 1912. There is a gap in between. The North Anatolian Fault Line is located in Düzce. After , there is the northern branch, in the south of the Islands. The southern branch runs along the line of Gemlik and Bursa. This fault line has not been broken for a long time. Therefore, the Marmara Region is in a completely risky situation, dangerous. Since the northern branch is closer to Istanbul, its effect is more here. "It would be too much." said.
